1996-Present     Licensed Optometric Doctor (O.D.):

I am licensed to provide full scope comprehensive eye health examinations to the highest level possible.  This includes the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and disorders of the visual system.  Treatment of eyes with the use of eyeglasses, contact lenses, and pharmaceutical agents.

1994-1996         Educational Clinical Rotations:
Illinois Eye Institute,  (Illinois College of Optometry), Chicago, Illinois

Primary Care Service:  Comprehensive eye examinations including dilated fundus examination, gonioscopy, automated perimetry, and treatment and management of ocular disease.

Pediatrics/Binocular Vision Service:  Comprehensive eye examinations of infants and children, along with diagnosis and management of binocular anomalies, strabismus, amblyopia, and visual development problems.  Treatment included prescription lenses, prism, contact lenses, and vision therapy.

Low Vision Service:  Low vision consultation and examinations including dispensing and training of proper use of optical and non-optical aides.

Advanced Ophthalmic Care Service:  Tertiary care with ophthalmologists emphasizing medical treatment or surgical co-management of ocular disease.  Rotation included general ophthalmic care service, retina service, and emergency service.

Cornea/Contact Lens Service:  Fitting, dispensing, and follow-up of all types of RGP and soft contact lenses.
