Glasses and Sunglasses
Product Lines
You may find yourself driving down the road, sun shining in your eyes, while you search for those clip-on sunlenses that came with your prescription eyeglasses. Or perhaps you are wearing your contact lenses at the beach, where your eyes increasingly become more scratchy and watery as you battle the effects of sand, sun, wind, and water. Even the sunglasses you wear over your contact lenses may not help.
To the rescue: prescription sunglasses. You can wear them anytime outdoors without need of searching for sunglass clip-ons or dealing with contact lenses.
In the past few years, prescription sunglasses have become more widely available in the optical marketplace. From basic to high prescriptions, you can find prescription sunglasses of all types including bifocal and progressive lens options for the presbyopic consumer.
The variety of lens choices now available to fit most frames is vast. For those who desire the lens that “changes,” a photochromic lens (one example is the Transitions brand of lenses) is the way to go. This lens will darken in sunlight and become much lighter when you go indoors.
